Måske Dick Forsman vil kommentere denne fugls alder. Two different generations of remiges are discernable, and seemingly some emerging rust-coloured feathers on the underside of body, make me pose the very same question. Perhaps Dick Forsman might comment? I certainly hope he is not deterred to do so by the unbecoming deletion of his weighty previous comment on this interesting raptor:-)

In my eyes it looks like a 3cy. ´The remiges looks like 2:nd generation ones (same generation), darker overall than they would be in a 2cy at the time of the pic taken, with a slight barring, being more obvious at the base, not reaching the tips. Also the lack of a dark trailing edge would confirm the ageing. The contrast between the remiges and underwing coverts would be okey for a 3cy. JanJ
