Beskrivelse: With a chital deer, (Axis axis), also known as spotted deer, and axis deer, is a species of deer that is native to the Indian subcontinent.
Beskrivelse: Bhavnagar a city of a million and a quarter residents, is home to a remarkable resident population of near threatened, Painted Storks right in the center of town. But a state wide kite festival, where illegal glass covered string (for cutting the string of other kites)is used results in thousands of birds losing their lives every year. This january in Bhavnagar alone 20 of these Painted storks died! The bird in the picture was lucky having only superficial wounds. Young volunteers collect and treat the birds. This year they held mock funerals of the storks, which drew national media attention and hopefully will give the birds greater protection next year.
