Nice photo of a bird appropriately named "White-necked Blackbird" by the "Commitee for giving Danish Names to all the Bird-species of the World".
Although the English name is even better, I cannot help applauding one of the instances where the said commitee did not entirely ****- up the task given.
As when they named White-throated Robin, "Whiteneck"
and re-established the silly old "Tree-lark" for Corn Bunting!.... to mention but a few of the more blatant examples of lack of good judgement;)

If you are British i congratulate you with the english birdnames, as they are generally of a higher"quality" than the danish ones......
Kære Peter Sunesen, Jeg er faktisk Irer, og på gaelisk hedder en solsort LON-DUBH. Hvad en Turdus albocinctus hedder ved jeg ikke .... en "Navnegruppe" har de ikke derover ...endnu!
