Beskrivelse: Endangered species. Maximun of 6 birds observed during the trip with an hybrid Thalasseus bernsteini x Sterna bergii. The Min Jiang estuary is certainly the best site in China to see this rare tern
MANY thanks, AURÉLIEN, for showing us,
in GALLERIET, this magnificent Chinese
tern!
Apparently, Min Jiang May climate has
much in common with ours p.t.:
Shades of grey (une grisaille ?) stand
out much more beautiful and distinct
than in bright sunshine!
Very best Rgds and grand Compliments
Yours ........... C.
Amazing!
What is the best tactique of seeing this very rare birds be? I will be eager in going to Taiwan or China in order to get observations of the birds for a planned guide to the terns of the World.
Og naturligvis i at høre fra eventuelt interesserede til en tur derud næste år.

At the end of the breeding season, when the young birds are a few weeks old, it is possible to reach the breeding grounds by boat from Nangan, the 'main' Matsu-island. Nangan is accessible from Taipei by plane.
