Beskrivelse: Seen from far distance it is an elusive bird & it called only before flying. All the Twitchers on the island were able to tick it. Bird found by Pierre-André Crochet just an hour before the plane landed with 8 new lucky birders hoping to see the Blue-winged Warbler...

Beskrivelse: The day at Corvo started out rather dull. The heavily wind from east made sea watching the only possible solution. A Fea’s type petrel, Sabine’s Gull, jumping Dolphins and 100+ Great Shearwaters were seen. Suddenly you could hear PAC over the walkie talkie mentioning a small yellowish warbler seen very briefly and broadcasted as a possible American wood warbler. The message was soon changed to Tennessee Warbler. The taxi was called and soon 11 men was onboard going uphill for the bird. As mentioned the bird was found by <a target='_blank' href='http://www.netfugl.dk/profiles.php?id=showprofile&profile_id=1900'>Pierre-André Crochet</a> (PAC) and it was discovered at a very crucial time. It was discovered at the time, when new birders came in with the plane and only an hour before 4 birders were about to leave the Island. One of the four had seen the Flores bird exactly one year earlier. Another one went for this one and saw and heard the bird briefly. The remaining two didn’t go. In the beginning the bird was seen very briefly only flying and calling. Just before the newly arrived birders came to the spot it was located feeding in top of the herbs giving good but fairly distant views. The bird was seen by approximately 20 birders from UK, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Spain, France, Germany and Belgium. Apparently it is the second record for Corvo, the third for the Azores and the eight for WP. <b>PAC is BACK</b>

Beskrivelse: Denne Tennesseesanger udgør Færøernes eneste fund. Den opholdt sig i Sumba 21-28 september 1984. Fuglen blev ringmærket og billedet er taget af Søren Sørensen. Det er en indscanning af et gammelt dias, der er ret slidt, derfor den mindre gode kvalitet.
