Beskrivelse: These birds were a part of 7 birds seen at Hoek van Holland southwest of Rotterdam, Holland. This is the only regular place in Europe to see this ship-assisted species. According to the Dutch rarity report 2000 a pair has been present at Hoek van Holland since April 1994 and reared one young in 1997, 1998 and 2000. They were also breeding in the area in 1999, but the outcome for that year remains unreported. The exact number of birds in the area is not clear, but it is reported to be 8 or 9 individuals.
The birds can sometimes be hard to find and can be seen at several different places in Hoek van Holland. These were seen at the little harbour next to the Harwich-ferry, which seems to be their favourite spot.
