Beskrivelse: From the bus arriving from Jaisalmer I noticed hundreds of raptors in the skies over the town dump. So on a return visit a couple of days ago I could spot an assortment of Vultures (egyptians in large numbers) and over a hundred eagles. From talking to locals,I gather the eagles are winter migrants and are all gone by April. SO, Badli Dump....17km North of Jodhpur, well worth a visit!

Beskrivelse: At 3.30pm every single day more than 200 kites (Which were sacred to the ruling Rathore dynasty) are fed from the ramparts of the Fort when several kilos of meat are thrown to the birds. Often eagles and buzzards arrive at the same time and use the confusion as cover to attack the thousands of pigeons living in the walls of the fort.

Kære OLE
Et betagende smukt billede og panorama
af dvælende Demoiselle'r ad libitum,
i krystalklart lys, mod goldt sand,
der gløder selv ved middagstid.
Eminent sét og taget,
Yours .................. C.
